I n 1995, I received my first purchase award from the Wisconsin Union. Two years later, I went on to earn my B.S. in Art from UW-Madison. In 2006, I founded Timothy Hughes Photographics to pursue my love of photography and visual art. I can easily be reached at (608) 345-9329 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since becoming a photographer, I have had exhibitions at The Peter Jones Gallery (Chicago), Pico House Gallery (L.A.), Common Wealth Gallery (Madison), Echo Gallery (Chicago), Los Angeles Center For Digital Art, Infusion Gallery (L.A.), Kimia Lounge among others. None of the images on my website are to be construed as an endorsement of, sponsorship of, or affiliation by the individuals photographed or the holders of any of the marks pictured.
I shoot with a full-frame digital SLR camera and prefer using prime lenses (fixed focal-length) when possible. My years of experience as a graphic designer has helped me understand how to deliver strong images that art directors and photo editors demand for kick-ass layouts. Rather than leaving things to chance, I take a clinical approach to assignments. I have a full-service studio with a cargo elevator as well as off-street parking in downtown Madison and I love to work! My photos have appeared in such websites and magazines as: Glamour, Seventeen, Guitar World, Travel + Leisure, Madison Magazine, and Digital Photographer (UK). Feel free to contact me to view my print portfolio or for reprint inquiries.
I am able to travel internationally, and specialize in the following:
- advertising, fashion, or editorial photo assignments
- model portfolio work (paid-only)
- editorial-style portraits
- architectural and corporate event photography
- endurance sports photography
